Plan the Whole Bedroom as One Piece
A bedroom is the room where furniture matters most and fits worst. Freestanding dressers and wardrobes leave gaps, block windows and rarely line up with the doorway. When we build a custom bedroom, we treat the room as a single design: wardrobes that rise to the ceiling, drawers in the spots where you actually need them and a work surface where the room can take one.
The bedroom in our photo has floor-to-ceiling wardrobes in a warm wood tone with a bank of drawers and a built-in desk area under the window. It reads as part of the house instead of furniture pushed against a wall, and it makes room for the bed and a path across the floor.
Miami-Dade bedrooms vary from modest second bedrooms in townhomes to large primary suites with walk-in closets. We start with the space and the people using it, then decide how much storage belongs in wardrobes, how much in drawers and what, if anything, should sit on the wall as shelving.

Signs Your Bedroom Needs Custom Furniture
- Dressers and wardrobes crowd the room and still do not hold everything you own.
- Your bedroom has an odd layout, slanted ceiling or alcove where standard furniture will not fit.
- The existing closet is too small and you want wardrobes along an entire wall instead.
- You want bedside storage, headboard wall paneling and wardrobes to match as a set.
- A designer or contractor has drawn bedroom built-ins and needs a shop that can build them to spec.
How We Build a Custom Bedroom
- Plan the room
We measure the walls, windows and doorways and draw where the bed, walkways and storage can go.
- Define storage by use
We decide the split between hanging, shelving and drawers, and design nightstands and headboard areas that match.
- Pick materials and finish
We select the wood tone or painted finish, hardware and doors so everything in the room works as a family.
- Build and install
Pieces are made in our Homestead shop, then installed and leveled on site so doors and drawers line up with the room.

A Wardrobe Wall Walk-Through
What Drives the Cost of Custom Bedroom Furniture
Bedroom projects range from one wardrobe to a full suite. These are the factors that set the price.
One wardrobe wall, a full suite with nightstands and desk, or a walk-in closet all price differently.
Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes need more material and careful scribing to ceilings and walls.
Drawer count, shelves, rods and organizers drive labor.
Hinged, sliding or open fronts, door style and hardware are major decisions.
Wood-tone laminates, veneers and paint have different costs and maintenance.
Built-in lighting, charging outlets and desk surfaces add details.
Why Choose Us for Bedroom Furniture
We build kitchens, closets and furniture in the same shop, so a bedroom gets the same level of engineering as a kitchen: square cabinets, tight reveals and doors that close properly.
Our clients include designers who need a shop to execute a bedroom drawing, and homeowners who want to describe what they need and see it drawn. We work both ways.
Where We Build This
We build bedrooms for homes in Homestead and Florida City, Kendall, Cutler Bay and across Miami.
Questions About Custom Bedrooms
Can you build wardrobes up to the ceiling?
Yes. Floor-to-ceiling wardrobes make the best use of space, and we scribe them to the ceiling and walls for a built-in look. We confirm ceiling heights and any soffits on site.
Can you match nightstands and a desk to the wardrobes?
Yes. We can design nightstands, a desk and wall storage in the same finish and hardware so the bedroom looks coordinated.
Do you build custom beds as part of a bedroom set?
Yes. See our Custom Beds page for frames and headboards, which we can pair with the wardrobes and nightstands.
What is the difference between wardrobes and a closet?
A closet is built into an enclosed space; a wardrobe is a standalone unit or wall of units in the room. For bedrooms with small closets, wardrobes along a wall give extra storage.
Can I see samples of finishes?
We will discuss finish options and samples when we measure so you can compare tones in your own lighting.
Can you work around a window or an odd ceiling?
Yes. We build wardrobes and shelving to work around windows, soffits and sloped ceilings, with panels cut to the wall rather than forcing the room to fit the furniture.
